Verlinden 200mm Roman Bust [Part 2]

Here's my painted Roman Tribune Bust. I've use a mix media of Humbrol, Tamiya Acrylic and water-base poster color.

Yes, U heard me right, water-base poster color (water color to be exact local manufactured brand BUNCHO)... similar to those use by kids in the school.

Verlinden 200mm Roman Bust - WIP [Part 1]

All through the years, the largest figures I've painted ever are in 120mm scale. This is my first attempt painting a much larger 200mm scale bust. From what I understand, the larger the scale, the more challenging it is to paint (espacially the human face).

One Small Honda - Totally Scratch Built

Thought I'd write about my encounter with the miniaturising laser gun that you guys have been talking about. Basically it's a pair of hands, sharp edged razor blade, needle files, motor tool, all shapes of plastic cards and rods, super glue, putty, magnifying glasses, a good picture reference and a pair of sore eyes.

Achtung! Achtung! Caen 1944

Achtung! Achtung! Caen 1944 - Tamiya, Italerei

This is one of my early attempts at serious diorama building. It depicts a typical ambush scene during the early part of the Normandy D-Day invasion campaign. The objective of the British forces under Montgomery in this campaign was to take Caen on D+1 June 6th 1944.

Hold Until Relieved 6 June 1944

After watching The Longest Day and the capturing of ‘Pegasus’ bridge at the Caen canal (actually there were two bridges, the other was over the Orne river nearby) by a Coup de Main force of glider troops from the British Airborne, I was inspired to do a bridge scene, captured and held by the 6th Airborne during the Normandy invasion.
